Bose Media Centre Gracenote access?

My Sister has donated her multi-room Bose system to me and I have got parts up and running in the summerhouse, The Main unit will store 350 CD's on the hard drive and when storing accesses the album data from Gracenote.
When I load a cd to store it says it is accessing the information but does not record any or report an error? there are also 50 CD's already loaded without info and 30 or so with info.
Does anyone know how it accesses the database and how I might connect for future additions?

IIRC, you need to subscribe to Gracenote and they send their data to you so the Bose system recognises the discs that have been loaded. iTunes works in a similar manner, but Gracenote's part of it online.

Thanks for the reply.
Once I searched for 'updates' and 'uMusic' I found some information that confirms what you say and I will try and register the unit for updates as it seems my sister never did!
It seems a lot of effort for not much but it's annoying to load cd's and not have the information recorded.
