There must be nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of France or wherever because of a simple breakdown and the inability to get hold of a TVR specific part. As I'm off over Europe in a couple of weeks what are peoples suggestions for essential parts and tools to be carried ? Apart from AA 5 star Europe, as who the hell wants to cut the holiday short, entrust there pride and joy to an unacompanied trip back or drive a hire car.

there have been lots of threads on this. I suggest doing a search. the keywords "spares" and "France" when searched together brings up your answers.

Ancillary drive belt, fuses, duct tape, insulation tape, lots of big zip ties & a multi tool have been in my boot the last couple of trips. Now joined by a spare fusable link for the alternator lead (bitter experience).
If it's the Folembary trip you're talking about, then I would be tempted to take some tools/spare brake pads & odds & sods as well.

At the mo I'm looking at Pie On the Beach, over to France Brittany/Normandy area for the week then Folembray the following weekend, before coming back with you lot. (Folembray bit is still a bit dodgy not because of the dash but because we're meant to be at a do on the Saturday night and it's in the hands of "she who must be obayed")
