Now they are putting in a 2-Plus lane on the A370 (Long Ashton bypass) heading into Bristol. Only noticed this cos I made the mistake of using the A370 yesterday.

So now every morning the queue, instead of just stretching all the way down the bypass, will now stretch all way back through Flax Bourton and into Backwell. Marvellous.

When will these fkwits learn that 2-Plus lanes, bus lanes and other traffic restricting measures do not make people stop using their cars?? All they do is cause chaos and pss people off!

Tell me about it! I used to take the A38 then accross at Barrow Gurney to the A370 but becuase of this stupid idea I'm now forced to take the M5 from my house to get to Bristol. In fact it now takes me less time dispite it being an extra couple of miles each way! Just a matter of time before we have an M5 bus lane

Sorry to hear you fella's getting so much grief in and around Bristol.If you get together with a few friends and FAKE a breakdown in either outside or middle lane for a month and imagine the disrubtion even for 30 minutes the crap aimed to those in charge should see any of these stupid directives soon reversed.Try it, you have only 30 minutes to lose

Yup I got monked off with driving into Bristol from... err... north Bristol. I now work in Bracknell, takes me less time to get into the office (well nearly door to door), and I get me petrol paid for. Result!!

Enviro... whut? ah bollox, if the govt can't make it easy and cheap for me to get into work... sod 'em
