Battery help required

Hi all. This weekend is D-Day for me and the battery (wish me luck).

However, as by now it will be as flat as a pancake, can someone please PM me (don't post a reply on here with the details) details of how to get into the car? I think I know how to get in but I'd like to be forewarned than putting an emergency post on PH.

Hurrah! Success! The battery was replaced on Sunday with minimal fuss. I used BatMan (www.batman.co.uk) for the battery and PH for the help and guidance. Total time? Just over an hour and much of that was getting into the car in the first place.

A couple of things I would say is that a little compact mirror is very helpful for lining up the holes when bolting the box back into the car. Also, the old battery had the +ve on the left. The new had it on the right, which made things a little more interesting.

Anyway, the car is back in rude health and I'm a happy man again.

Did you mean ManBat (not BatMan)? If so there is a Varta with reversed terminals which has then in the correct layout (but maybe not so common).

Sorry to hijack, but could somebody forward the instructions to get in when the battery is dead to me as well?

I've no real need for it at the moment, but would like to know so I don't get caught short if/when it should happen.
