worst job on an ultima?

i've had my car a few weeks and i recon its got to be one of the following, i'have had the privelidge of doing all three!

throttle cable replacement,

replacement of gearchange uj behind engine bulkhead

fuel tank removal.


a close run thing, the throttle cable was a couple of hours upside down, new cables dont fit old sport pedals!

The uj gets my vote, awfull access and a barrel pin that didn't want to know, still have the backache!

Fuel tank is also a blob, loved cutting out the wheelarch, removing the rear suspension and undoing that concealed threaded rod, all that lovely petrol soaked sticky adhesive foam was real nice too. As was the high risk of combustion from petrol collected in the side pods.

Cutting out the floor for the dropped tray mod was an absolute joy by comparison, though probably the most worrying. It was a very big whole.

I realy must get out more! back on the road tomorrow, cant wait!

Don't worry after a few hundred miles in the summer you forget all the "blobing", and headaches it took you to get there.....
