It's also mentioned on the Technic Lego thread in the Scale Models forum. Estimates/rumours suggest it will be circa £250 !!

I've had an LOI in for one of these bad boys for 2 years. Will most likely get one of the first and I'm willing to sell for the princely overs of £50 biglaugh

Rumour has it that LordoftheManor had a deposit down on one of these but had this returned and is unable to source a car.

He is planning to take legal action against Lego...

A few minutes? That Le Mans car took me 8 - 10 hours, its pretty intense! It has a working diff, drive shafts, hubs, suspension and the engine has a working crankshaft, con rods and pistons!

Are these latest models designed to appeal to a new type of buyer, not the enthusiast?

Presumably this model has not been extensively tested 'in the field' the way previous models were, leaving question marks about long-term durability?

No doubt one of the old guard who are against any form or progress and desperate for the new car to fail, writing it off before they've even seen it.

Sounds like sour grapes from people simply trying to bump up values of their existing models by trying to claim them as 'classic' status.
