I guess, because of TV?????

Do they get a bigger audience than on a Saturday, or even a Sunday lunchtime KO?

This year's Capital One Cup Final will be on Sunday 28th Feb, K.O. 4.30pm. Between Liverpool and Manchester City. At Wembley.

Assuming no extra time, game over at 6.15pm, presentations, etc, leave ground at 7pm, shuffle down Wembley Way, tube, train home from Euston at 7.45pm earliest.....

I am fortunate to have the use of (very nice) Club Wembley corporate facilities, but very few football-supporting clients (including two Liverpool fans) are interested in being at Wembley on a Sunday night - almost entirely due to work commitments on the Monday. I'd imagine many 'normal' supporters/season-ticket holders would be in the same boat.

So, why???

Is it a 4.30 kick off? That is ridiculous. Takes the piss out of fans coming from (and returning to) the North West.

Maybe they thought Utd would get to the final and it would be all locals attending.

I'm here all week.

It's ok though. You guys have a home tie in the Europa league on the Thursday night rather than an away one.

Pathetic scheduling all round.

I know Spurs play @ 14.05 on this date & i assume Manchester United do too.

Cost us big time last season.

All changed because of TV and they wanted to get a bigger audience as possible. Had the same issues with the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup which often meant that fans travelling down from the North would have to leave the game early to get the train back.

I know it's picky but just think about that sentence (?) for a minute.
