I'm looking at getting a paint protection film pit in my Cayman GTS but my local fitter says there isn't a kit for the 981 GTS. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also Does the GTS share the same bumper as any other caymans in the range?
Hi Yes there is a kit and we have the design on our system along with the GT4 of which we have done quite a few of recently. We also have the pattern for the complete car which is getting increasingly popular these days.
Best regards

What are the costs involved?
I've toyed with the idea several times but keep asking myself if it's really necessary?
If I did a lot of track work (which I don't) then maybe.
To be honest it's not just for tracking and cars such as these are very prone to chips.. it is a no brainier on cars which have high downforce such as the GT3RS or the 675LT. These seem to suck up the dirt and attract debris which in turn marks the paintwork. We recently had 2 x 991 RS come in both pretty much delivery miles bar the drive down to us and both cars had already picked up a few chips. Also the film technology has improved vastly compared to the earlier years whereby it is hardly noticeable unless except to the expert eye that the car is wearing the paint protection film.I've toyed with the idea several times but keep asking myself if it's really necessary?

We work on more cars for the road than cars for the track and pretty much everybody who has had it fitted has from there on carried on having it fitted on all their future cars. I guess it is just piece of mind.
I myself have heavily tested it on my personal car by sitting behind a 991 TurboS at close to 140mph which no damage to the car apart from the odd chip on the windscreen. It really does work.
Best Regards

Prices seem to range from £1000 to £1500 depending upon how much of the front end of the car you want covered.I've toyed with the idea several times but keep asking myself if it's really necessary?
