Looking for abit of advice, today I have been told a close family member has just put her £8,000 savings on binary options, she is clueless misguided person who has likely fallen for an email saying 'congratulations i will show you how to make $$$$ in one day'

I plan of confronting her in the next couple of days with other family members but this is not going to be easy, as its her money her life......

I need to find out more about binary options, She has gave 8k to OPTIONRALLY, has anyone herd of them?
if it is legit and still debt she will get her money back.
How do i get this person help as she wont listen and I can see this going further, being scammed more and even losing her house.
Any advice?

Point her to this thread:

I was on the desk when Binaries were invented. They are a pure betting product and structured so that the client will always lose.

But most importantly and this is crucial, they are not a regulated financial instrument. What this means is that as a 'broker' you are not restricted as to how you can price the product or treat your client. It is why most firms have set up in Cyprus to run what was a British product.

In addition, whereas I cannot advertise that you can get rich trading stocks or futures, as binaries are not governed by the FCA then I can tell you whatever I like and I can guarantee you riches, I can publish fake data, I can tell you lies about how rich Dave got by just betting a few times, I don't have to tell you that my prices are rigged, I can show you a trading system full of invented data. I can do whatever I want, say whatever I want to get you to send me money. And once you've done that then I will first rely on you being rubbish so that you lose all your money and if by some small miracle that you are not then I will start manually quoting you and slipping your fills and if you ask for your money back I will put enough obstacles in your way so that you'll eventually give up and go away.

If your relative has chosen the wrong Cypriot bookie then they won't send any money back as its already been shipped off to Russia via offshore private accounts.

If she has chosen one of the firms that will actually return the money then she should try and get what is left back ASAP.

There is more than enough information on the web to explain all the ruses and how it works.

8k will have the jubs frothing as the best they can usually hope for is a £100 or so from some total retard living in some backwater housing estate who is actually thick enough to think a bookmaker makes their living from giving money away to their clients.

Clearly she wants a punt, so rather than persuading her out altogether and maybe starting a fight, suggest she puts in a small amount first, eg £100, just to see how it goes. When she loses it perhaps then she will wise up.
