V8V Worn Seat Covers
Discussion
I have seen another post about someone looking at a pre-owned car, where the seats were a little worn etc, so I thought I would ask a couple of questions about seat covers.
One of my drivers seat bumpers is badly cracked and has been for sometime, see below for image.

Also the lower part of the seat side bumper has developed a scuff mark which is hard to disguise with cleaning products etc. I have even tried to re colour the area with a good make of repair leather, but after a couple of days this comes back. This is the same for the upper seat bumper too.Perhaps its my lardy backside that keeps rubbing against it when I get in and out of the car.
Anyway, on a serious note, I have asked the dealer (I know that will cost you ££££££) about having a complete new set of covers and door cards and rear card too. If I just do the drivers seat, it will look odd as the colour will not match due to the sun exposure/age etc. However, the dealer has come back with a price of around £7,000 for the job?! I did ask about having Aston wings on the head rest area, which would look nice, but they said ...oh that will be extra!!
Does anyone know of anywhere that could repair my seat to a reasonable standard with out it looking out of place colour wise? Or does anyone know of anywhere that could replace the whole lot for less than the dealer is quoting and make them the same as the originals??
If not I'm going to have to save my pennies for sometime to pay for this little lot.

Each sewing lady (and possibly gentlemen) at AML, make the entire leather interior for one car, using an ordinary sewing machine and their own skill.
Perhaps the next PHer to do 'the tour', could ask one of them if they ever do evening work.
A couple of seats and door cards would be done in a few hours.
Split the £7,000 and everyone is a winner.
You could not have your wings though, because that is done by their fancy computer sewing table.
