Seems like anything goes at my place of work. Literally could have one person in a tweed suit standing next to someone in shorts and a cut off T (and that's board members!)
I try to stay casual but would rather it was a bit more formal. I wore a suit to interview(!!) and that was seen as OTT.

I'm provided with Company emblazoned shirts and cargo trousers. (No I don't work for UPS
)
None of it fits properly. Shirts are too big, despite "apparently" being the correct collar. Of the cargo trousers. They all have the same waist size, but some are baggy and some are pretty good. I look slightly ridiculous most days. Which is funny, because when we have various social nights, the office staff tend to say "oh you scrub up good" because they seem to think I chose the workwear and sizing based on my own preferences

I despise what I have to wear for work; trousers, white shirt and company tie, I hate it because it is so dated for the industry that I work in; motor trade and white shirts get ruined very quickly.
A few years ago we had some guy come in to appraise how the dealership operated and then to give us ideas on how to improve profitability and image; based on what he saw.
One of the things that he suggested was that a shirt and tie was a bit dated and some people even found it intimidating and to ditch the shirt and tie and either go for a branded polo shirt or open necked, branded short sleeve shirt in a colour as they were both less intimidating and gave off a more friendly and relaxed air; both of which a manager had already costed and evaluated as he was already pushing such a thing, this was knocked straight on the head as it wasn't the right image that the MD wanted to give, now I can go and buy an £80k Tesla from a guy in a polo shirt, an ex colleague worked for Landrover; he sold them at the weekend whilst wearing a polo shirt, chinos and deck shoes, however it wasn't the correct image for selling a £10k car.
Because I have to wear what I wear and I have to pay for it myself I buy it all as cheaply as possible, I hate spending my own money on clothes that I don't like.
My manager; who is in his early 30's thinks we should all wear suits, FFS!

Uniform supplied. Manufactured using the cheapest, nastiest and itchiest material known to mankind. Usually takes a few goes in ordering as the sizing bears no relation to any human yet born. The size you normally wear will constrict the lifeblood out of you yet the size up is akin to wearing a four man tent. Still at least the colours are fairly neutral.
Getting a new uniform soon though. I've seen pictures and I ain't happy!

In work for myself these days so I wear whatever I want, although in an effort to look professional I have designed and purchased my own 'uniform' with company logos etc. I'm still classing that as 'whatever I want' because it was what I wanted
Previously I have worked in offices for medium sized organisations (around 2000+ staff) and always wore a shirt, shoes and trousers, but never a tie. Very rarely wore a suit unless it was a REALLY important meeting.
It's funny because in an smart office environment you feel that the slightest blemish on your clothes or appearance causes a problem. If I spilled coffee down my shirt I would spend the rest of the day worrying that people would notice it and that I looked a mess.
These days you could throw a full cup of Cappuccino over me and I wouldn't care
