Hi all,

I'm looking for a provider who can do music on hold for a one off fee as opposed to the usual subscription based service that is in the market. Anyone aware of any companies providing this service?

Many thanks

I know someone (Essex-based as it happens) who writes music and might be prepared to do you an affordable one-off buyout deal. PM if interested.

Can't remember which company did this for me but I used a combo of music and marketing messages. If you have someone on hold why not sell them something or tell them something (in a subtle way!)

Because being on hold is bad enough. Trying to sell to me while I'm waiting is likely to tip me over the edge.

Do you really want to try and sell to people when they are already incandescent with rage??

Just stick an iPod on the system with some classical music.

I use these people.

It's a bit anodyne, but better than tinny, electric Greensleeves.

We used to have a software helpline. The hold music was Gerry Rafferty "If we get it wrong we'll get it right next time".

The main line was hooked to a CD player. I liked putting on the Doors 'The End'. Cheered up customers no end :-)

Perhaps if it's an 0800 number, but if I'm paying for call - no thanks.
