You wash your car and by the time you get to your destination it's covered in squashed flys, and the wheels are grey with brake dust. Here's the answer.
Car 'Wet Wipes'. They really are good, and are available in Halfords.

Wot, Halfords Malaga branch? :-)

Seriously, though Martin, don't these leave a residue and streak - also if you try to rub off the bugs too hard (without water) won't this mark the paintwork?

It's very mild, Rob. Like I said, not for cleaning the car but just tarting it up. It works like glass cleaner, the flyid evapourates very quickly, not leaving any marks.
(I bought 3 packets last time I was in the UK, and shall get some more this weekend)

All credit to them for bringing this product to market.

I'm sure I'm not alone in discovering how useful baby wet wipes are for all manner of uses other than that for which they are intended.

Although baby wet wipes do leave a residue I'd imagine they're considerably cheaper than these things...you get about 500 in a pack (versus the 10 apparent in your picture)...

s'pose you can't begrudge them making a huge profit for being first to market, but expect bumper value packs to arrive as these things take off!

My car has now gone several weeks without a wash and is officially filthy...looks like a bucket and sponge job.

Hmm - unless these are different to "wet wipes" in construction, what will actually happen is you will push the dirt into the paint as you take it off.

Without a sufactant and something like a microfibre cloth, then you'll going to end up putting loads of scratches in your paint IMHO. You'll notice these when the car sits in sunlight.

Ideal for wheels though probably where it won't notice, but I don't think I'll change my routine of getting the car clean..
