One of those days

Headed up to the garage to get 2 tyre sensor valves fitted and a new bracket for the exhaust

- they didn't have the right bracket in stock
- the tyre valves took for ever to replace meaning I was massively late for work
- found out the led side light is part of the headlamp unit and can't be replaced on its own. £500 per unit, needed for MOT
- have to book in again to get the exhaust sorted
- got to work and noticed a bloody big dent in the rear wing - must have been done while parked last night so need to get that sorted too.

Apart from the cost of these jobs there's the time needed to fix them. Don't really fancy the trip to Ireland in a week or so with a damaged car.

Picked my car up from the bodyshop last Wednesday after repair of car park ding to driver's door. They'd done a good job and given it a good polish - looked great.
Ten minutes later on my way back to work I was rear-ended.
C'est la vie.

Re the side light, get some stick on led jobbies from eBay to pass the mot

Then find someone via a local college or uni etc who can solder in a new smd or whatever the little bit is that failed

fk me. The car manufacturers must be pissing themselves at this wheeze.

It's a Saab so it probably hasn't panned out as they'd hoped.
