Having problems with my fans not coming on when they should, any help is great, also where is the inj. coolant sensor located at I was advised to replace it but dont know where it is doh,,,
Check the Otter switch under the swirl pot, you can bypass it to see if there is a feed to it .There is also a connector which sits under the fans .This can get wet .I don`t think the 14CUX uses the petrol temperature sensor.
.
By 'injector coolant sensor' I assume you mean the ECU temperature sensor. See this thread, it discusses that sensor and a method for improving the reliability of the dash gauge

You'll find it on the passenger side head, just behind the distributor

There are 4 temp' sensors in total. 2 for the ECU- one in the fuel rail for fuel temp' and one in the inlet manifold for water temp'. The one for the Fan is an otter switch in the base of swirl pot- big brass thing- this is the only thing that controls the fans. The sensor for the TVR temperature gauge is also buried on the inlet manifold.
I had an identical problem and traced it to a faulty relay, the pins had corroded to the base

Hey seven what exactly do you mean by connecting the wires I dont quite get it,,,
Just pull the two wires off the otter switch and joint them together ( ignition on ). If everything else, fuse, relay wise is working the fans should run. If they run the otter switch is dud. If they dont run your problem lies elsewhere such as fuse or relay etc.The relay will be marked in your owners manual, for a Griffith it is usually Relay 1 and the relevant fuse is fuse 1
Could be different for a Chimera. The relay pins and base can get quite corroded as the contacts take quite a lot of current when the fans start.
If it is not the relay or fuse you have checked everything else apart from the fans themselves, if not the relay try connecting +12v to the fans, not unknown for them to fail. The plug/socket to the fans gets very corroded, worth checking that again.
