I have been using a dash cam for around 2 years and can honestly say I wouldn't be without one now. Fortunately I have never had to submit any footage to my insurer/police but I do know of people who have and it has saved them an absolute arm and a leg. I currently use a RoadHawk DC-2 system in my work van but came across an offer on the company’s facebook page earlier that I thought might be of interest to some of you.

Basically they are letting you trade in an old dash cam in return for a 50 quid refund when you buy a new one which is all good when you have an old dash cam to trade in but here's the trick.....

They are accepting cameras from any brand and in any condition so theoretically you could buy a really cheap one from a service station or off ebay and trade that in ,in return for what is essentially a £50 voucher! I have been having a look around today and there are literally shed loads of cheap cams out there.

I'm going to buy a knock off and trade that in so I can have the money off a rear facing one - thought this may be a clever way around the deal that some of you looking for a dash cam may appreciate! Have I missed something? You can thank me later....

Not sure why you need to be clever about it? biggrin

They will take any new or old dashcam - doesn't say working or not. Hell I have 3 half working ones.

It's not £50 cashback but a £50 discount off the price of a camera

The flip side is you could have 3 Mobius cameras for front/back/side/sky for the price of the HD version.

Typo, or old offer which has now expired...?
