Mr Chim Girl isn't here at the moment, otherwise I would enlist his help for you. However, it may be helpful in the meantime if you give an idea what the Trojan is doing, as different ones get eradicated in different ways. (I think )

I'm sure someone sensible will be along soon.

Hi Chim girls other half let her out on the raz have you

Could be bad news!

The Trojan sits below the task bar and pops up every time you put the curser in that area,

I also believe it's causing other IE functions to freeze, as I can't log into of use some of my required websites.

It’s really staring to P me orft!

Somewhere in that lot it basically lists a load of tools, where to get them from, and says install each one, tell it to update from the internet, and then do a scan. There are also a couple of links to online scanners. If you're lucky they will fix the problem between them. If you're unlucky they will identify but not fix, in which case you have to either find some friendly techie to come fix it for you £££ or give up and reinstall the OS from scratch.

I've run these applications on an unprotected PC used by undisciplined teenagers (um .. is there any other sort?) and they removed literally hundreds of infections between them. Just down to luck whether the one(s) you have caught are ones they can handle.

Hi G Man

Yep AGV was my basic software, up to date and everthing. Got spyware as well.

Both fail to remove.

The basic EXE that I cant get rid of is called ffisearch.exe

I keeps a little popup just below the bottom task bar, evertime you put the curser in the task bar this little search popup appears.

Currently running through Major Geeks remedy.

I'll keep you posted.

Might be better to consolidate these two, as mine was a spin off of the original.
