Not a football fan, but enjoyed this film!

The FA offices are the real offices. The FA had just moved out of Lancaster Gate into new offices so the production company moved in.

Some great car jokes from the assistant manager!

Hyundai!

Much funnier than I thought it was going to be, especially when the car dealer is standing in the car park with an Esprit, an F40, a 328GTS, a 308GTB, a Bentley and several Mercs telling everyone to buy Daewoos

Other choice quotes-

"Couldn't hit the side of a Renault Espace"

"All the pace of an Austin Allegro, and I'm not even talking about the Vanden Plas".

"I asked for a Vauxhall - what's an Opel when it's at home?"

I must admit that I did find it slightly more serious in places in that it reminded me of all those times in the early '90s as a kid, being allowed to stay up to watch the match only to see England drop out, under some bumbling bloke like Venables or turniphead, but the thing is, they had charisma Sven-Goran Eriksson could only dream of, even if the teams were crap.

Evocative and funny. Much better than I expected.

Can't stand football but enjoyed the film.
Perfect portrayal of the average supporter(aka fickle armchair expert) IMHO!

What about:

Scotland don't make it through to the knockout stage - again!

English hooligans being led by "Wacko".

Gazza - I mean Tonka - scoring with his hand against the Argentinians.

The new training facility, including the Mark Lawrenson simulation.
