When in Sevenoaks this morning, the driver of a white Porsche gave me a hearty wave.
Most peculiar.

I presumed that it was out of pure respect for our wonderful cars.

There could be many reasons. Possibly, that driver also owns an Aston Martin, or wishes he did.
Maybe he sold his Aston in exchange for the Porsche, and has discovered that nobody waves at him any more.

Nice.
The only interaction I've had from a Porsche driver was when my battery was flat and the AA had just arrived - a Panamera slowly drove by, window down and the driver said "should've bought a Porsche, mate". I laughed but wished I had said "nah, too ugly".

I once pulled alongside a GT3, the driver looked over and gave a nod and a smile. I returned the gesture and as the lights went green, we both pulled away so sedately it was almost comical.

Mutual respect and nothing to prove guv'

Luckily that moron will never buy a AM and tarnish our marque.

I've had a few waves and good comments by other drivers when in my Vantage but none more so than in my VW Splitscreen. I drove 10 miles down the M2 yesterday and it seemed like every car that passed, no matter which carriageway, waved or flashed at me. So much so I though I may have had a problem! Always nice to see others appreciating your toys smile

This wave. Were his forefinger and thumb forming a ring?
