What vents are 'hot' and which are 'cold'?

Okay the vagaries of Cerb heating have me confused.

The top of the dash vents give out hot air when the hot knob is on, but all the others seem to be cold?

The drivers eyeball is clearly cold, but are the footwell vents cold too?

My tootsies get a bit chilly at night when driving, must be age. Seems there's only cold air to the footwells too, is this right?

Have you got the footwell vent open properly?

Must say it took me a while to get used to the almost non-existent heating.

I find now that all the vents closed apart from drivers footwell does the trick .

Sounds like you have the same system as I have on my 2001 Cerb. There is an explanation for this "hot-cold" effect on the Cerbera register manual page. I have pasted it in below. It pretty much adds up to some creative vent setting in order to even out the hot/cold air pressure through the system.

You will probably have the bladder type heating system. A three piped black fiberglass bladder looking device just by the sttering wheel collum. (you'll have to invert youself with head by pedals to see it up under the dash)

"If you don't have either of those systems then you have the latest "cows udder" system .. look up into the footwell (again !!) and you'll see a black fibreglass "udder" with 3 pipes coming off it .. if you have this system and you're not getting air out then there's a blockage of some description 'cos there's nothing inside the system to prevent airflow .. remove each pipe in turn to check for blockage eg with dry dead leaves or small furry creatures

Also, if you're just yourself in the car, make sure all the vents on the passenger side are closed as the heating [?!?!] system is biased with hot air to the passenger side - with the coldest air finding its way to the drivers feet. This can be addressed with bits of bent metal/bits of bean-cans. Mine now allows cold air to drivers face and hot air to footwell. Woopdeedoo!"

I have hot air coming out of every hole.
Getting very hot on the way home last night on the M1, so had to turn off the heater, even with a force 9 gale coming through the footwell for where my bonnet hinge has given up the ghost...

You have managed to get it hot! I have warmish air coming out the 2 round plastic vents either side of the transmission tunnel and the window demister (well not that it does that!) The other three are cold and the demister can be both. I think the heating system in the cerb is appauling considering the heat haze you see coming from the engine! Especially at motorway cruising speeds, then the draft cancels out the effect of the heating pretty well

I have cold air from the left dash vent, the right vent by drivers knee, and from face vent under steering wheel.
Hot from the 2 footwell vents and on the windscreen.

Unlike many I've read about, I have no trouble heating my car. Gets lovely and warm..

Exactly where are the hot vents in the footwell? I tried to find them the other day, but failed miserably!

Mind you, at my size, I don't have much room to contort myself under the steering wheel!

Do I really have to do the upside down, driving with your kn*b position to find them?

The drivers footwell vents are on the RHS cowling next to the lower steering collum section. You can't really see them from the driving position. You can only feel the annoyingly cold air that continually comes out of them onto your shin and ankle.

There are two of them. One above the other about 8 inches apart. The lower one is just above the LOUD peddle.
Hope you find them. (This is on a 2001 model)

My car seems to be missing the dash level vents, feeling around where they should be it appears they are fitted but under the leather Anyone else's built like this or is it just a case of TVR's uniqueness.
