Some believe it needs severe climate change - like when hell freezes over!

But I still have some faith. Last I heard, early January in a letter from Ben Samuelson, was that there were two prototypes undergoing testing.

According to a telephone conversation with Ben Samuelson the Typhon will not be sold in the form it is currently offered.

A cheque from TVR came last week. They have eventually done the right thing in returning my deposit.

A pity. It looks like it could have been a very special car.

Bugger, did they give any indication of what the new spec would be before they gave your deposit back?

Hi David,
What did you do to get your deposit back? I approached my dealer a few months ago about getting our deposit back, they asked TVR who said NO....

Thanks

Neil.

Blimey, that's is significant. Can't say I'm surprised but TVR sending cheques out is not a common occurrence!

The timing may have been purely coincidental but an invitation to potentially join me in the local County Court was faxed to the dealer and the factory the week before.

Should it be necessary a small claims procedure is easy, requires no lawyer, is quick and you also recover your costs. I have successfully recovered money from a private seller using a small claims procedure. That really shocked the individual who had said "caveat emptor" and thought he could get away with a lie.

I am not technical. Broadly construction methods would need to change to reduce build costs, but they have not yet identified what that solution might be, was as much as I was told.

I actually do think it is a pity. I admire how TVR has stretched what is possible in their cars on the budgets they have available. If the Typhon was to be sold as described I would have no doubt continued to be patient with TVR, having had 3 in the past 13 years you might almost say I was becoming a loyal customer.

The rationalisation of models is on the march.

Question is, what will be left? Tuscan and Sagaris is not much choice IMO.

Current Models
--------------
Tuscan 2
Sagaris
T350
Tamora

Upcoming Models
---------------
Tuscan 2 convertible

Recently Dead, will they be replaced?
-------------------------------------
Cerbera

Are they planning another 4 seater? Are they planned anything for under £40k? (Tamora/T350 entry-level replacement).

So what's on the motor horizon now B19TOY, any new ideas?

TVR would be wise to address this...IMHO.

Agreed - TVR need a 2+2 seater.

At the moment, I can't buy a new car from them. Consequently the Cerbera is getting a freshening up.

A very very yellow piece of Stuttgart has arrived in the shape of a Porsche 996 GT2 Clubsport.

We had ours returned. Don't be strung along by hollow promises either.

I had my deposit refunded as well. TVR have in my view acted honourably and sensibly.

The TVR range for 2007 according to Dinkel Smolenski

- Tamora Mk2, 2.5 litre 4 inline 16v dohc: ±250 horses
- Tuscan Mk2/3, 3.6 and 4.0 AJP6: 360 and 400 horses
- Tuscan Mk2/3S, 4.0 and 4.2 AJP6: 400 and 440 horses
- Sagaris Mk1/2, 4.0 and 4.2 AJP6: 400 and 440 horses
- Cerbera Mk2, 4.2 AJP6: 440 horses
- Cerbera Mk2S, 5.0 AJP8 dohc 32v: 475 horses

One-off showstunners for the sheiks:
- Speed8 AWD, 5.0 AJP8 dohc 32v: 475 horses
- Speed12 AWD, 8.4 AJP12: 750 horses
- Speed12S AWD, supercharged 8.4 AJP12: 1000 horses

Yank V8 'reliable' supercar:
- Cerbera SuperAmerica, Chevy Z06 427 dohc 32v: 500 horses

T350 stops when 500 cars have been produced . . . sorry!

The new Tammy is low specced and is the entry model, black only.

Tuscan has the Targa option. T440 - I think it's a stunner - but hey, how long must we wait: I dropped it . . .

The CSA has different styling with chrome and red seats off course . . .

I think there's enough cash to convert the AJP8 to one of the best V8s the auto-industry has ever seen. When NS can buy Benelli . . .

I visited the factory last week and saw the one and only Typhon parked out the back looking quite battered and tired - my factory guide told me that they would are developing the Typhon now that the Sagaris development is over.
