Having followed this forum for some time i've decided it's time to join in. I purchased mt 996 c2 in July of last year from Silverstone Porsche, it had covered 6000 miles and was unmarked. it was factory fitted with the gt3 body kit, wheels and sports suspension. No points for guessing the colour .... it was of course silver. Since i've owned her (calling her It will surely offend her!)I've had the switchable sports exhaust fitted, this option was partly due to the forum run here a while back, money well spent i'd say!. Haven't got any decent pics to post at the mo but as soon as i get the chance i will do.

Two very different experiences, The TVR was very crude in comparison but probably more of a drivers car. The 996 certainly has the overall power and handling but can feel sedate. Haven't tracked the 996 yet so i guess i'll get a true picture once i take the plunge. I've tracked various bikes but only the TVR and a Zm coupe in the car stakes. I found Bedford reasuring from the safety aspect, i'd be keen to hear from anyone with some alternatves.
Welcome to the Dark Side!
Enjoy your lovely new Porsche.
If you are keen to track it why not join the Porsche Club GB and come along to some of our track days?
Everyone on track is as keen to keep their pristine pride and joy in the condition it arrived in as you are.
Generally very polite driving (people will let you pass) and a lovely "club" atmosphere...there are exceptions to every rule, of course, but in several years of going along I've only been on one day where I was concerned...
