340R BATTERY & CAM-BELT CHANGES

Has anyone found away to change the battery on a 340R without removing the bodywork, please? Also I gather that it is (just) possible to change the cam-belt on a 340R without removing the bodywork, but can someone tell me what to remove instead - even with multi-multi-jointed fingers it looks an impossible task. Many thanks. Tony
Just had the battery replaced and the cambelt chaged by the dealer - the body came off to do it.
If you go down this route two tips
- replace the battery with a race battery so next time it can be changed through the front access cover
- Wrap your roll bar in masking tape to protect it from getting scratched whilst lifting the body off and on.

As far as I know the body has to come off for the battery BUT I have heard that you can fit the race battery while the normal battery is still in place.
Yes you can get do the Cambelt without taking the body off, I had mine done last year by Steve Williams
