Hello Chaps, it been years since i have stayed on this site, can anyone give me an idea of the layout, shower blocks etc, where the main gate to the campsite is located and where the pedestrian exits to the circuit are located is there more than 1 entrance and exit?
if one was to bring a low supercar onto the site is the ground ok and fairly level? Are pitches marked out or is it a free for all?

many thanks smile

ps, if anyone has any recent pics of the site from last year that would be helpful
Cheers.

Green line is roughly the perimeter, yellow dots pedestrian access, red arrow line is way in , turn right immediately after you go under bridge , I think you can also come in the main gate but it would be a bit of a nightmare from Thursday onward.

there is two sets of toilets and showers situated at either end of the site marked blue on map. The toilets and showers on the eastern side seemed quieter,, There is electric hook up but if you turn up late there maybe no sockets left to plug into, this doesn't seem to stop most !!daisy chaining into the system and by Friday it looks like an Electrical health and safety officers worst nightmare.

Low car shouldn't be a problem just watch on site for large holes where some have dug a pit for a BBQ or some sort of fire trench ?
Ants can be a bit of a problem if you happen to have the little bcensoreds right where you have just pitched your tent,

Pitches are marked out, but not numbered, so you can pick whats left, most of the site is fairly flat except for a bit right at the eastern end.

Brilliant thanks, I don't seem to be able to blow that pic up, would you have a larger image?
I have not stayed on Tet rouge after all! I was confusing it with Parking Rouge!

In past years the tertre rouge corner entrance hasn't opened until the Wednesday, with access until then being via the main gate, last year though the corner gate was open all week

Looking forward to this, always nice to go to an area you have not been to before smile

Another question, I have mates staying on other campsites, Some on the Village at the Porsche curves, Some at Team Langoustine, Is it possible for friends to Visit you by foot on Tet Rouge for an hour or so? Can one get additional passes for visiting friends?

Sometimes as you go out the gate they give you too many passes and you can collect them for people to use later in week but usually if you've got a pass and you say they're with you as you walk in it's not a problem then as they leave they can get a pass to use the next time.

As already stated, this site is pobably the most secure one so make sure that you collect your passes when you leave, The whole site is surrounded by a high fence and there are twoways to get in or out, one at the end near the bridge to parking rouge and the other overlooking the track on the drive down to tertre rouge corner, it is this enterance only for cars. The site is mostly quiet with a few more noisy area's always inhabited by the same people so pick your camping spot depending on what you want. When you arrive the best way is using the gate at TR corner to find this please ignore all temporary signs and just find the carrefore supermarket, the road runs directly from there to the track and after the roundabout turn left into the circuit, you will need both a camping ticket per vehicle and GE's per person to get into the circuit. Once you arrive pick your spot and then chat to people it is a very friendly site with most residents having camped there for many years.

Great site, safe and secure.

Never had a problem with ground clearance in low cars, R8, Diablo, FGT, Pork, Gayardo etc.

Agreed on the very friendly, long serving campers comment, but if you're coming down from the Carrefour you'll be turning right after the first roundabout, straight after you go under the bridge

Yup, to give you an understanding of the nature of the site I've been within 10 yards of the same spot every year but once since 2003 and I could list a dozen groups at least and tell you exactly where they'll be

Sounds Great, So is it possible to see the track from ones Pitch? Of course I guess that depends when you get there?

Yes, but less and less so each year as the trees planted in the re-modling of the esses in 2002/3 grow up, you'll still be able to wander out from your camp at 10 to 3 on the Saturday afternoon and have a decent view of the action from the banks though

Yes sorry you turn right into the circuit gate not ;eft.
Everyone has there own idea spot, if you camp against the fence you can see the track but it gets noisy and no privacy we always camp on the other side pitches are flat and quieter, can still see track by walking 30 seconds so not real problem. Been camping there for over 15 years now and for the last 6 our campsite has been in the same spot
