pro's disable trackers very fast these days,you can buy a jammer on the net for £50
1st they jam it, then remove it once in a safe place to do so.
ALso the police can use tracker data to put you away, just imagine a no fault crash on your part, but you were doing 5 mph above the speed limit and the other person died ! your tracker will be used to screw you over !

On my last car I went with http://www.tracker.co.uk/ which was supplied and fitted by them. I mainly went with them as you can set up alerts by email and/or phone if the car is started or moved outside a set perimeter. This feature has proved hit and miss - although the car is always correctly tracked the part of the system that alerts you is definitely flakey, I only get alerts about 80% of the time :-(
