Discussion
I'm a tall chap (6'5"), 42, and in reasonable health, specifically I have a manual job and spend all my daylight spare time gardening, but I don't do any exercise-for-exercise's-sake apart from a fair bit of walking.
When lying in bed at night my feet are absolutely freezing, even with two pairs of socks on.
I would assume this indicates my circulation isn't wonderful. Even sat here in my rather cold greenhouse office my toes are like ice in thick socks and boots.
Any thoughts?

Think cold extremities can be a sign of poor circulation. Did you or do you smoke? Also do you take beta blockers for anything? They can make your hands and cold.
Might be worth seeing your GP as it could be something else
No, and no - used to take beta blockers for about a year ages ago. Might be worth seeing your GP as it could be something else
Might go annoy the GP.
This may be completely off the mark for you but I sometimes start feeling so cold I can see my finger tips going blue. Don't necessarily have to be somewhere cold for this to happen either (which is peculiar).
Anyway, I find without fail that getting my core warmer (e.g. putting on a jumper) causes my hands to come back to life - you might not need those extra pairs of socks.

I have the same and keeping the core warm certainly works. GP, having ruled out everything else, said it was Raynaud's syndrome. Anyway, I find without fail that getting my core warmer (e.g. putting on a jumper) causes my hands to come back to life - you might not need those extra pairs of socks.

This if all else fails. If your body is cold it will start shutting down circulation to the extremities in an attempt to keep your vital organs warm.Anyway, I find without fail that getting my core warmer (e.g. putting on a jumper) causes my hands to come back to life - you might not need those extra pairs of socks.
