Hi,

I've had my C63 for almost two years now. I took delivery on 1st May 2014 and got it new on a pretty cheap lease deal. I've been looking around at cars to replace it and I saw that there are some nice deals on the E63 (just the standard one, not the E63S). Has anyone made this step and would you recommend it? I am feeling tempted because the monthly increase is only around £100/month more than the C63 I've currently got.

If it was my choice i would go for the cls63 amg in my opinion it looks alot more special and you can also get good lease deals on it. I have a cls350 cdi though so i might be biased 😂😉👍

I agree, the CLS63 AMG would be better but the best lease deal I have seen on it is about £200/month more than the E63 and I don't think that it's worth that much more.

E class cheap deals are due to replacement coming very soon.
Rumoured to have 4wheel drive option and 4.0tt.
I've been offered 23% off a current shape e AND cls sb through car wow.
Worth thinking about.

I believe Jackwood went from a C63 to a 2013 E63 and went back to a 6.2 C63.

He and I both had transmission problems with our E63s, which tainted our experiences of our respective cars.

Financials aside, I think the 6.2 C63 is a much more interesting car with a far superior engine.

On a slightly related note, a friend of mine has recently taken delivery of a new, fully loaded C63S and is very underwhelmed by it (hates the power delivery, excessive torque, contrived sound etc).

Well, after flirting with the idea of an E or CLS, I have ended up ordering a C again (standard, not the S). At least now you can have it in more colours than monochrome or red so I went for a blue one.

Correct. Old C63 a better car, bar internal volume (space, not noise), than bi-turbo E63. Love our most recent one.

Rudedog, did you get a good lease deal on the new C63?

Hi Jackwood,

I think so but I don't have anything to reference it to. I went for a 9+23 payment configuration and 10k miles per year allowance. Cost is £588/month.

Options wise, it has the following:

- Brilliant Blue Metallic Paint
- Premium Pack
- 19" wheels
- Privacy Glass
- AMG Selectable Performance Exhaust

It is an "in stock" car so I didn't spec those myself. Had I had the full options list to play with, I might have specified the AMG Drivers pack (instead of Premium) and the AMG Seats instead of the Selectable Exhaust, however this option is supposed to be well worth it.

How are you doing anyway, I think the last time we spoke was at Lymm services when we both had Cayman's smile

Congrats RD on your new purchase. That sounds lovely. I agree with other posters the 6.2 v8 is an epic engine! Iv recently had a bit of a problem with my cls- suffered a double puncture and blowout on my nearside front and rear within 2 days of each other. To say it annoyed me was an understatement. Sadly its also an expensive problem! frown

Seems like a very good deal. Where was it ordered from? I had a quote (before any negotiation) on a 14 plate up for 39k. PCP figure came in at 500 quid a month with over 7k deposit. You either got a very good deal or the figures given to me were very expensive.

PCP on my car will be up in about 6 months. At that point will most probably look at the CLS63. I really want to like the new C63 but find I keep confusing regular AMG Line models with the C63 and for me that just doesn't sit well considering I want my performance cars to be obviously different from the base models without looking like a MaxPower special. Looks like the new C63 coupe will have some fairly obvious stand out features externally (flared rear wheel arches are always a winner), but alas I need a little more space with kids.
