Thanx to all for a good day, and good company from High Wycombe and Bracknell, just sorry I got split up from you all after Bracknell!! While I'm on the subject of apologies, I think I might owe V8Smith one, I probably seemed a little ignorant yesterday, but you just caught me when I was itching to get back out on the road again (having been at VW for a while by then).... no offence meant, and hope to see your car at the next meet! If I haven't burnt my bridges already!!!

Was good to finally see some more S series cars!

V8Smith's car was lovely - shame I didn't hear it running. Page3's S3 put my tatty S2 to shame - time to do some work on her methinks!

No worries, spend the money on beers and I'll likely catch up with you sometime later this year. And good luck with the electrical problems mate!

I remember the first ever PH meet, it was an S meet only , just over three years ago in the same car park, my how things move along .
Enjoyed seeing PeterH's supercharged beastie , albeit not cleaned though. Must get a spin next time, forgot to ask at the end of the day.
Good to see Mike (V8smith) at last, hope it doesn't drink too much water, must have a small steam leak somewhere a weak jubilee clip/small hole in the rad .
Sorry didn't manage to introduce myself to the other S's there, perhaps next time.

Well I *could* have washed it, but then I'd have been twice as late! My theory was that if I opened the bonnet it might distract people from looking too closely at the rest of the car. With that much dirt perhaps it asking a bit much though. lol

Didn't see any cameras on the way out but tried to make a little noise anyway. On reflection I guess the novelty had probably worn off for the locals though. sorry

Have to take you for a 'spin' next time.

Don't worry, Tim caught you snaking away a bit on the vid, but you backed off a little whe you got to him , so he didn't get to catch the full V8S exhaust 'anger' on tape .
Hopefully he'll get it hosted soon.

Whats wrong with your tool kit mike.

P.S i would start to spray the water pump bolts with penetrating fluid as they have a nasty habit of seizing and snapping of

Blimey Mike how many sets you looking at.£75 per wheel with tyres seemed ok to me
I needed some retail therapy

I would tend to use a dedicated penetrating oil like plus gas

Now we need some S forum lessons as it appears some of us are lost on certain subjects

Mrsheen - puddle
V8Smith - Tool kit
GreenV8S - car wash

On the other hand I carry about a ton of spares and tools with me, what Mrsheen doesn't know about washing cars isn't worth knowing, and V8Smith makes his own puddles. So that sort of cancels out?
