What time do you wake up?
Discussion
I've started to wake up really early most days, about 3-4am. I'm usually in bed at 10pm and get straight off to sleep about 10.30pm after a couple of chapters in a book.
I'm not sure why I'm waking up; no stress or anything important on the brain. I don't think there is any external noise factors.
I tend to lie awake not being able to sleep until about 5am, before I give up and read the news on the phone. Up at 6am for work.
Curious if many others are awake early on a regular basis. I'm starting to think I may as well get up at 3-4am when I wake and do something productive!

I have the same problem, usually around 04:00. If I can get to sleep again all is well, if not I feel awful all day.I'm not sure why I'm waking up; no stress or anything important on the brain. I don't think there is any external noise factors.

In bed at tennish.
Lights out at half past
Usually wake up at 3-4:30 for the gents
Woken finally by alarms at 07:00 that get snoozed for up to half an hour.
Work at 8 - first call of the day is for a latte
Usually back home by 17:00 to play games and cook / eat dinner etc till the whole dismal process begins again

But I don't have a racquet!I'm usually in bed at 1am, sleep anywhere between 2.30-4am (suffer quite badly from not being able to sleep) and up at 6.30am for the gym. This will be hellish if I didn't get to sleep until after 4 or bearable if it was more like 2.
Rinse and repeat. I'm of course utterly f
ked all the time but no amount of exhaustion makes me fall asleep earlier. The only things that do are a day on the mountains skiing or a day on the sea sailing/diving/surfing. Then I sleep like a baby.Depends. I always wake in the night for a pee following a head injury that rewired my thirst and pee senses. Generally light sleep after about 5 but I do sleep. I can sleep anywhere, anytime, including standing up.
I need more sleep post injury, have to watch fatigue levels and allow catnaps as necessary. I'm a lark, 'Er Indoors is an owl. After dinner and wine I'm generally crashed out from 11ish, she will watch films and finish the bottle before scraping me off the sofa about 1am. Come 8am I'm bouncing about, she needs a nuclear strike to get up before 10.
In the past I had minor brushes with insomnia, the fix was to get up on waking, even at 3am. Go downstairs, cup of tea, iron a few shirts, TV, only go back to bed when your eyes are closing. The next day you will be FUBAR but you'll sleep. At worst you may have to do it twice. It works but it's kill or cure.
At the moment I'm up at a stupid hour on Monday for an early plane, 7 the other days. Weekends 8ish in winter, earlier in summer, esp in good weather.

Depends. When I come home from working away after 2 weeks of getting up at 5am it's usually around that time but can go to 7ish as time goes on at home. Over half thinks I'm mental even I get up at 7 as it's still to early apparently.
