If you spot a mobile camera about 300 yards away, and reduce your speed to 70 from 84 what are your chances?
If you see the camera van, is it then too late to reduce your speed, or is there a window period?

if it's an LTI camera...it'll have got you before you see it...

Depends on the county and police force...

One force that I know, has cameravans on motorways that will DO you at 79mph....where as my force doens't use cameravans on motorways.

The laser is good for about 1000m if used by a policeman. However, the optics on a camera van are nowhere near the same. I believe max distance is around 1/4 mile - 400m. Despite lots of huffing and puffing I've yet to see a photo with a range exceeding that.
