Today I revved a road car engine to 9,000 rpm and didn't blow it up. It was an RX-8, the first rotary engined car I've ever driven.

Nothing much happens before 5,000 revs but after that it's quite brisk.

Sounds good. Thirsty.

Got six points for speeding, within 13 minutes of each other last Wednesday morning.

Going to the vets: 37 in a 30
Coming back from the vets: 39 in a 30.

Both NIPs landed on the doormat this morning.
