Given how good the NS2-R is in terms of price/performance it'll be interesting to see if these can do the same thing at the top end.

Yes, but they look to be strictly to/from the track only. Treadwear rating is only 80 so they're very soft for road use and their wet weather performance rating is not good, but then the tread pattern kinda gives the game away there
Looks like they're competing with stuff like the A048, so if they can pull the same trick they did with the NS2-R of being not far off the best in class for a lot less money then they could be onto another winner.
Think I'm probably still going to stick with Pilot Sport Cup 2's for my next set of track tyres but interested to see how these do.

As expected, not too many sizes available yet, but they aren`t expensive.

I haven't done this test so can't validate anything, however this is what I have been given after a testing at Italy’s Franciacorta circuit.
Best lap time:
Nankang AR-1: 1,21.30
Dunlop 03G: 1,21.35
Rear tyre tread left:
Nankang AR-1: 60%
Dunlop 03G: 30%-40%
Driver feedback:
Nankang AR-1: All good, feel great
Dunlop 03G: some oversteer
If it's half true it's good news.

That's not really what I meant, my fault, I should have chosen my words more carefully. They're road legal but personally I wouldn't want to use them or anything else in that class of tyre on the road for a daily driver, they're generally too poor in cold/wet conditions - especially standing water.
