I quite fancied doing the AM Track day at Silverstone...
Discussion
I think you will find that it is more like exclusive track hire, as with such low numbers, you'll be lucky to find anything to overtake!! I've worked on regular trackdays that allow so many cars on track at once, that its like the A40 in rush hour!
Silverstone is now around £40k/day just to hire the lovely tarmac....

Ahhh ok, now I get it however being a track day regular that's the last thing I want.I think the opposite would be an RMA day with their unique format.
Exactly half the price and twice as dangerous

You probably won't even use up all of the 20 minute sessions you are allocated. By the time you get to the last one, you have had enough and if you drive properly so have your brakes
.....
The AM days, while expensive, are a bloody good day. Did I ever mention SPA (twice)?
Hopefully you don't get any of their monkey instructors, they are just failed racing drivers that came in places that don't matter, so end up passengers in other peoples cars

Just kidding, the instructors are excellent, well worth it, even for people who do lots of trackdays and think they are good. Wait until you get some instruction on a nice trackday without some Essex Boy trying to hunt you down and overtake you..... Oh hang on

I've done similar days through the IAM.
Absolutely fantastic time but far too easy to cook your brakes - even with 4 laps out and then a 15 minute rest in the pit. That was in my RS4.
Did Thruxton last year (in C63) and managed to survive cooked brakes ... just ... not may cars did though.
Would love to do this in the V12V - just not got enough miles behind the wheel yet.

Ask about McLaren trackdays!
starting at £1,495 for 2 x 20 minute sessions at Brands Hatch!
Makes AM look good value!
Seriously, I have signed up for Silverstone GP £895?starting at £1,495 for 2 x 20 minute sessions at Brands Hatch!

The mailer I got from Pure McLaren was scary when I looked at SPA

Astons are a lot easier on their brakes than RS4, or any other front heavy car. The RS4 school cars at Silverstone, used to get through a set of front pads in a morning! Once you know Silverstone, you use the brakes less than you would imagine anyway.
