A bit of a trivial ailment compared to some other threads on here but....

My right arm has been sore for about a month. There was no incident that I know of where I hurt it.

I'm not in agony but I have a pain down my forearm that only hurts when I use it to lift or move something at a certain angle - a shooting pain. I can press and massage my arm and feel no obvious discomfort.

A strange thing though, the very slightest knock on my elbow; say lightly catching on a door frame walking through results in a real strong pain that lasts for a few hours.

Ive got a support tube thing on but makes no difference really. I should go see the doc and intend to but as its Friday night and I'm sat here I thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance

OTS

Tennis elbow would be my guess, from what you've described.

Does gripping an object hurt? Gripping and lifting?

Sounds the exact same as what I had. I got laughed at when I picked up a cup of coffee and squealed with the pain.
Karma was watching, however, when she got it worse a year later for no particular reason.

It took both of us around 9 months to get over it; it's bizarre, it just came and went during that time. Nothing made it worse and nothing helped.

I still remember the feeling of banging my elbow off a door frame, though, and they say you don't recall sensations of pain.
Tears were present. It was brutal.

Sounds similar to a pain I had about 3-4years back, was an elbow spur

Short operation to remove the spur and all's good

This is exactly what I've had for the past couple of weeks. I couldn't pick up anything with an outstretched arm like the phone or a cup of tea. I was getting a stinging pain where the tendon attaches to the outside of the eblow joint. I self-diagnosed tennis elbow with the help of Google. I bought a brace which did nothing apart from making my forearm swell up. I asked an osteopath if they could help and did they. The first session was massage, manipulation and accupuncture which eased it a bit. The second session four days later was the same and the day after (today) I'm completely pain free. While she was at it she freed off my neck and my knee pain has gone too. Going back Monday but tbh I feel fine already.

Ditto on the self diagnosis on Google but not the osteopath bit.

I'm a man woman and will ride out the pain to it self heals hehe
