Hello PHers!

I was just wondering wether if someone on here is planning on joining the first trackday of RSR Spa for this year.

I am going to be there and it would be nice to meet new people from around here.

Cheers,
Konstantinos.

I'm not, but can you post to let us know how you get on?

I'm hoping to be at Spa with RMA in September (not been for a couple of years) and am toying with the idea of hiring a car from RSR for part of the trip.

On previous trips RSR have been there with a fair selection of cars and I'd like to know what you think of their "own brand" days

Thanks

I am booked to be there instructing for RSR. Come and find me and say hi my name is Roy.
Really looking forward to this as it pretty well marks the end of the off season out here ( I live near the Ring so only 70 miles from Spa).
You should also look out for our photographer/media guru who will be floating about the pits, his name is Konstantinos also. Nice guy with a large groomed beard, you can not miss him.

Biased view here but the RSR days are very well run as we have a very good relationship with Spa as we are the official driving academy for Spa Francorchamp. We have so many staff there on our days to cater for all peoples needs, we use all the guys from both our Spa and Nurburg HQ. The numbers on track are also very low and with minimal closures you get good track time. An added bonus for many is the opportunity to do the trackwalk prior to the track going live, well worth it if you have never walked soome of the main sections, the walk is very much a highlight and you get guided by Ron Simons himself. Catering is included in our pit boxes for light breakfasts and snacks and drinks thru the day, lunch is from the Brasserie so no need to bring any sustainance, all inc.
As for hiring one of our cars for RMA, ping or phone our office to talk about your requirments as we can supply anything from our fleet.

I have hired a couple of times from RSR, few years ago now and could compliment them enough, superb experience. It is how ever very expensive and the excesses very high compared to hiring a car from Bookatrack which are equally superb and believe have cars available at Spa next month.

No connection with either other than a happy customer.

Excesses are high for a reason. But then considering the cars are being run on a trackday, one has to ask who is going to pay for it if it gets trashed, however all the cars get used on road tours and other events so they have to be fixed properly. Sad reality of it unfortunatly, so stay safe have funand just remember that there is an excess.
However, no-one has a selection like we do at RSR available. You want a Focus ST no problem, you want an Alfa 4C no problem, You want an M3 no problem, you want a Caymen gt4 no problem, GT3RS no problem, McLaren no problem, and so on.

Indeed. A few years ago I had the opportunity to try a track prepped Exige round Spa for a nominal sum, but bottled it when my garage mate and new best friend put his F430 Scuderia into the wall, and the £3.5k excess came into sharp focus. "should have, could have, would have" etc

My attitude to large trackday expenses has shifted somewhat since then though, and it was my credit card that held the excess for BookaCaterham when my trackday novice friend went out at Donnington.

I have no doubt that RSR's high reputation is absolutely justified btw, just curious to hear opinions. With a bit of luck, I'll be looking for an Exige come September

Wow that sounds impressive i think. Sounds like your son can drive...

Thanks for even thinking and proposing it. I appreciate it.
I will truly try to make it to the events, even for just a visit!
