Choices - which front today?
Discussion
This forum is ultra quiet at present. Am I the only one doing anything on their Ultima?
I can now choose the look of the front of my Ultima.

I suspect I know the answer but which do you prefer?

or the new one...

With the help of my daughter it will take about 3 mins to swap fronts. Plug and play!
I still have to sort the 'ignition on' power supply for the daytime driving lights tomorrow and then it is complete.

My build is currently suspended pending return from work next week. Any questions I've had have been answered with phone calls to the factory boys and to other builders/owners or with a good search on PH. I don't have a build thread on here and mainly nothing interesting has occurred of late; just all wiring.
However, I'd like to be at a place where I could employ a 'which front' approach to my car. One for track, one for show

Im thinking second too. However, this will be a bias crowd as we all know and love the classic headlamp style. And fabulously that style is bang up-to-date again thanks to the Lemans cars!
I think if you were to some out add some soft of headlamp cover over the first one, it would be back in front perhaps....

At first glance I preferred the twin headlight but after a few minutes looking I now prefer the new front end.
Just about to go down the garage to continue my build. Twin liquid inter coolers will be here next week, Fuel pumps have been delayed (ordered from states November). Finishing off welding on breather, catch and fuel swirl pot. All tubing ordered for intake so when coolers arrive I can start fabricating

Well that is rather unanimous! Shame, as the old one has light mouldings modelled (from memory) on my wife's breasts. I tried to end up with a nice organic shape and feel to them..... She will be so disappointed you don't like them!
(I will be in sooooo much trouble if she reads that
)
I have always looked on the Ultima as a starting point for me to 'do my own thing' so was never planned to be totally stock.
Pic of the DRL's. Not too bright, thankfully.

Wing vents

Next job is to whip the SPA dash out and send it back for repairs and it has been having mad moments.

I can't really decide which I prefer. Both look good. I think silver does look good on Ultimas, even though I probably wouldn't choose it.
Do you have a couple of other views of the "wife's breasts" version? "From memory" made me smile.
Which headlights have you used? How deep are they?
Keep up the good work!
