Just bought this for approx. £70, a 2.9i Ford Scorpio.
Hopefully good for a few spare parts. Nice weather today, so I started preparing to take the engine out smile

Nice price Tim smile

Looks like a quick strip down, but you could do with a couple of fielders to catch the bits as you remove them! Or a wheelbarrow!

Good luck with it, always handy to have a few spares. wink

Is it manual or auto - just beware you may need to change the bush in the end of the crank for a bearing if it is auto.

That's certainly a good idea.

>> Can someone point me in the right direction as to what is possible/doable please.

Front Scorpio discs are Ø260 with what looks like bigger calipers than the standard S2.

These calipers are on the rear.

Disc diameter is Ø252 x 32mm thickness.

Can they be made to fit ? - With new discs of course !

easier than jacking up the corners !!

Fronts: easy peasey, straight swap. You can even use the same brake pipes if you want to.

Rears: If you have discs already; these are the same. If you have drums, you will need to swap the wheel bearing carriers and possibly the stub-axles. Someone on here who has done a drum-to-disc conversion will be able to advise you better on this bit. You'll also need a new hand-brake cable and brake hoses. Not quite easy peasey, but nothing too difficult either.

Anyway, it looks like you have all the bits you need on the donor car. thumbup

Hello a good source or spares / upgrades .. did you want the small grille piece above the bumper? I think it would be perfect for a mod I am trying to do.

Cheers

Hello Damian,

do you mean this ..... ?

It's yours, if you want it. However, I really do live in Hungary and that is where the car is. If you can pay for the postage, I'll send it to you.

Do you want me to find out how much it will cost ?

Tim.
