Centre console storage swap?

Hi All,
My V8V is an 06 and has the rear arm pad with cup holder fitted at std. I know this is eaily removed etc
Question:
Is it possible to upgrade it to the later arm rest with i think some storage?

Yes. Straight swap. They bolt in fine.

No idea about used, but they're about a grand new:

Im still pondering this.
A couple of questions i have are
Inside the arm rest looks to be a std charging point and a USB point, am i correct?
Does the USB simply charge or allow connection to the radio?
Also im wondering how the new arm rest would look with the three buttons I have behined the ashtray thingy?
If any one has ever completed this swap before I would be interested to hear thier views

I'd love to hear more about this. Did you wind up getting the parts from a dealer? I've been watching ebay for these parts and they never seem to pop up.. Please post some pics and information. Thanks..

I was lucky to find the center console and the part where it sits on Ebay off a 09 DB9 being broken,obsidian as mine bare the silver stitching that I dyed using a permanent marker.I only had to alter slightly the lower part to make it fit the transission tunel.

Even if both interiors are Obsidian Black the parts from the '09 are a bit greyish compared to the '04, will treat it to some leather baume.

Also did you have to wire it up? Im led to belive there are a USB and power outlet inside the box?

I wired the power outlet but made a alloy blancking plate for the front of the box as i didn't need the two other plugs

Has anyone put a Vantage armrest assembly in a DB9?? They are much more plentiful and cheaper, they seem to be a bit longer in back, but could be modified to fit otherwise??
