Guys thought I would post a few pics of the final stages of building my dream cerbera!
Saw the boss cerbera once whilst working at Marcos and instantly fell in love with the shape of the cerb and how it looked fast even when it was stationary!
Found a ratty 4.5 in darkest Wales many years ago and for a ridiculously low price she was secured.
Car was then carted back down to Devon for the work to commence.....
The clutch slave was gone and generally the car was quite ropey, the oil was mixing with the water so me and a mate decided to pull the motor to try to fix it.
With the motor out the chassis was quite crusty so I decided lets do it properly and pull the body off! Oh my what a load of work!!!
A Ls1 was found from a donor camero in Douglas valley breakers so cash in hand I trotted off to pick the motor up, upon doing lots of internet based research (consitutes of spending time with girlfriend on sofa) a bell housing was found to be able to match the cerbera t5 and the ls1 motor. Now before I get a barrage of comments about the weakness of the t5 I am very aware of the limitations of the box and first and foremost this is a road car not a track machine!!!!!
Gearbox connected to engine, everything dangled in engine bay for mounts to be made then hey presto a ls1 cerbera! (Ok there was a lot more messing around but it would take forever to list it all).
Car went to sp automotive in tattenhall where ryan gave it a fresh coat of the factory green whilst updating the lights front and rear and also the later number plate recess.
Now it was painted quite some years ago but due to work and personal commitments she has been stood for over 2 years before I could do any work on her again. In this two years however I acquired a manga charger kit which was removed from a monaro with everything I needed including a mapped Ecu! The power plot of 505bhp was nice too!
With the start of the new job and my race car finished I have new gusto to crack on with her again!
The last month I have had 1 clear day and a few evenings each week to crack on with her!
Anyway here is a pic from last week I will update more when I have some!

We have an LS1 and Magnacharger in our Monaro and it is pretty quick given the weight of the car, must go like hell in a Cerbera!
