Hi

I am trying to find the build sticker on my A4 as I need the gearbox code.
It is not in the spare wheel well as usual (I have removed wheel to check).
Anyone know were else it could be.

Thanks

Mick

Hi

Unfortunately my service book is a duplicate and doesn't have that info in.

Not sure if a 2003 car is too old for this to work, but I've used this trick in the past to see spec details:-

I said:
The best way I've found to see the spec of your car is to register it with "my.audi.com". However, you need to be a bit tricky here: The UK site doesn't show anything useful, but if you subsequently log in on the German site (using same username/password) https://my.audi.de/ you'll see all the details. In German. Use Google translate if that's a problem...

Audi main stealers should be able to confirm/give codes from your reg plate or VIN, common practice when looking for paint codes on same stupid usually worn/missing stickers, filthy Germans

Scotch that. They've "updated" the website and you can't see the info now!

Hi Silentbrown

Great idea I managed to register my vehicle but there was no gearbox code listed just that it was 6 speed
manual. Looks like I am going to have to get underneath and get it off the box.

Thanks

Mick
