Speakers?

Hi
I picked up my new Boxster 981 on Friday and have had an enjoyable weekend playing with it. Just one quick question though - there appear to be two music speakers - on the bulkhead behind each of the headrests - that in mine produce no sound. Everything seems to be coming from the dashboard and doors. I've fiddled with settings but there doesn't appear to be any option for these grills if they are in fact for speakers. i didn't go for Bose, just upgraded to the Plus system for the sat nav system.
Should I be getting sound from behind the head rests?

That's correct.

If you have no fader control in the head unit, you have no rear speakers.

According to the configurator SPP should have two midrange speakers behind you - so I'd investigate further.

You don't get the rear speakers in a 981 Boxster unless you go for Bose or Burmester. This can easily be confirmed by seeing if you have a fader control. No fader = No rears

Is that for a 981 Cayman rather than a 981 Boxster? Boxster and Cayman audio systems are not the same, the difference being the rear speakers.

The UK 981 Boxster configurator is no longer live.

It is for the Cayman (don't know why I got all the other crap). You may well have a point - I can see why the Boxster might be different now I come to think about it. The 718 only has 6 speakers as standard.
