Putting aside petrol and insurance and stuff like that.
What do you expect to pay for the upkeep of a T350 over time?
ie engine rebuild and servicing, how often and how much is that?

I see a few adverts for cars where owners have spent a fortune on just general everyday "keeping it on the road".
I know the straight 6 can be a tricky engine, do you do an engine rebuild as a matter of course or only if needed?

I would do many miles if I did buy a T350 (I'm also wondering about a Tam!), but just interested to know how much your cars have and are costing you to keep going?

Cheers

I normally budget around 1.5k per year for servicing and spares/repairs (I have a Tam - 2003). I also try and put money aside for the "wish list" that i have, for instance mine has not had a rebuild but i will only have one when it needs it, but this is likely to be from 10-15k (3.6>4.3) .. prob closer to 15k by the time you have done with all of the additional upgrades.

I have owned my T350 for 4 years, averaged 4000miles per year. I get it serviced once a year - averaging about £800 per year. The air-con belt shreaded just after buying the car; the garaged noted that the pulleys were not properly in-line and they repaired the car under warranty. The 100Amp fuse broke (also just after buying the car) I fixed this for £3.50. Recently had one door solenoid fail which I decided to get the garage to replace at just over £100.
I type this with my fingers crossed but these have been all of the costs so far!

With any TVR, owners typically spend on upgrades such as resprays, retrims etc. as well as 'must do' work including servicing, tyres etc.

Looking back, of the four S6 cars I've owned over the last 4 years the average 'must do' spend was ~£2000 per year and upgrades ~£1800. The 'must spend' figure includes one engine rebuild. Gives you an idea of what to budget for.

All S6 cars should be serviced every 6000 miles or once per year. Cost for this will be £600 to £1K without any extras, depending on where you go.

Some years will be more than others, but I think £2,000 per year is a good figure to have (inc routine servicing).

Bit of man maths to make it less painful for the OP:
I'd argue you can offset at least £1,500 of that thanks to the steady increase in value these are seeing.
