I need to take a couple of photos at night really high up with traffic light trails.

Problem is Cannot think of anywhere to go !

I'm near Battersea

Anyone know of a place where I could take this elusive shot ?

Cheers guys

Would the London Eye be the kind of thing your looking for? You can see streets from up there.

How about taking a ride on the London Eye? I think each carriage stops at the top for long enough to allow some long exposure stuff.

Shouldn't be too busy this time of year so there should be no probs have enough space to set up a tripod etc.

Also, as it's dark by the rush hour, there should be plenty of traffic about to create light trails.

HTH

Edited to add - I should be quicker! Great minds and all that...

London Eye is useless for long exposures - it never stops moving....

Plus the windows are not always very clean, esp. this time of year...

Try somewhere like Tower42/restaurant 24/Natwest tower, public viewing but you may get refletion from the DG

Tower 42's champagne bar has good views, and in the few sober moments before 'getting-into-it' I remember the windows being clean. It may be a bit too high though.

Up the Oxo tower (and yes, we know all those jokes thank you children ) could get some good shots to the Embankment.

As for free places...hmmm.. be a bit cheeky and view a penthouse down Vauxhall way?

editted to say : Must type faster, all jokes done already...still got in one original idea though!

That last shot was EXACTLY what I'm looking for !

Cannot believe the number of replies ...thx

I thought of the London Eye but was not sure a long exposure with no shake was possible
....unless I get stuck on it :-)

Cheers
