My Chimaera is 98 with 3952cc what BHP 240-275 and what is the gain with 275 bhp ?

It was the quoted HC BHP and absolute BS a good 4.0 is nearer 220/240 I doubt the 500 cam in the HC was worth more than 10 BHP which is all it was in reality

Your car will probably have about 220-240 BHP.
What will surprise you is how close it will be to the real world performance of far more powerful TVRs.

I did a track day at Cadwell Park, a twisty circuit, Autumn 2014, with two other TVRs.
The 4 litre had about 220 BHP. My 5 litre had 300 BHP. The Cerbera 4.5 had over 400 BHP.
The Cerbera couldn't lose me, I couldn't lose the 4 litre.

Yes, on a two mile straight, there would have been noticeable differences, but on a twisty track, which I would describe as motor racing's answer to your favourite B road, the differences were far less.

So don't worry about numbers, enjoy the real world driving experience.

If you want to improve the car's performance, spend money on the handling. Full four wheel alignment for starters. Good tyres for seconds.
