Wife got hit from the rear by someone pissing around on their phone. Her car written off along with a dose of whiplash.

Hire car has been with us for over a month, so no real worries about having the payment through, but nothing from copart or the other drivers insurance company. Our insurance is with Admiral but this has been passed to a 3rd party for a non-fault claim. They have apparently had no contact from the other insurance company and we are no closer to our payout.

Only minor frustration is that we are still paying off a small bank loan for a car that she no longer has.

Does it normally take well over a month for an insurance company that is at fault to acknowledge or even make contact?

Accident management company can string it out and make more money due to the hire car.

When you told Admiral about the accident did they pass you onto Albany Accident Management company and did you sign a credit agreement for the hire car.

You are frustrated that you are paying a loan (that you would be paying anyway) for a presumably nearly new hire car for which you don't need to worry about tax, MOT, tyres, servicing and depreciation?

You're better off!!

When Albany handled my claim they simply paid out rather rapidly but demanded my excess (or rather took that off the settlement value) and treated it as a fault claim until proven otherwise.
And that took 18 months.
