We could do with one as well.

Edited to add that I've just realised Chris has booked it in somewhere, I think it was one Dennis recommended. You're going to tell me they're awful now aren't you ??!!

Would also recommend going through Steve Gugliemi, I had some work done by him and it was top class stuff engine practically purrs now so in my book anything him and his chaps do or are involved with is top hole.

Just to add a couple to the list;

- Offord Motors do MOTs, and being a TVR independent specialist, I imagine they're intimately aquainted with their foibles.

- Homan Tyres in Kempston, just outside Bedford are brilliant blokes. I get all my MOTs done there, they have low ramps, are happy to tinker to get cars through and will price match on tyres, to boot. It's run by 2 brothers who are into endurance kart racing, classic cars & bikes...

Gardener and White in Stoke Goldington is where I usually use. He tends to be very frank, but respects my car, always putting rags under the chassis etc before jacking.

Z

PS they also do a two week free retest.

Hi Alan

Get mine sorted at Earls Barton Autos at Titley Bawk Avenue (not the one on the A4500). They've always seen me right with the MG and Porkster. My dad also takes his TR6 up there so know all about proper cars. I'll text you the number if your interested.

Try Grahame Goode in Leicester, had my chim MOT'd there for 3yrs, very good and fair will point out problems and will retest just the failure.The mechanic is a little on the serious side but that just appears to be his nature , not far from jtn21 M1 and easy to get to 5mins from junction.Costs about £40.00

Used Motorvation in Northampton today. Very painless (other than driving there in a snow storm !). Seemed like a nice bunch of guys and the Cerbera went through with no problems.

So we're happy bunnies anyway !
