Hello all, i am new to this Forum, but i am a frequent Reader of all Cerbera posts. I bought a 4.5 2001 in Sunset Yellow from Belfast almoust this Time Last year. I started the Renovation of the chassis Last june. But My Job did not allow too much work in the cerb until the Last two month. So she is close To finished line and questions Are in My had... The 2001 has the two lamp Solution with the pod, which is mounted with sicaflex (small Black Around the pod) So i feel, a Front end respray will be complicated with this Black canions Around. So? What is the best choice? Stay at the old Design of filling the canions with putty? Your comments please the Cerb is in a very good condition ( except the chips ) Cheers Rubberduck

Sikaflex, tiger seal aka polyurethane sealant
Is overpaintable by body shops.
I restored a car a few years ago and chose to bond on the
Factory Bodykit to exclude water ingress and rust, still looks good
As new today! Clean lines a bonus.

Bond on with white, then paint.....

But I sense you are looking at 'other options'

Prices are going up and originallity is going to become more important for future values. Whilst the 2000 ish non blended lights aren't as nice as the older lights or the blended ones (imho) I say keep it original.

The joins on my pods (2000 / W reg) are body colour, they were like that when I bought it in 2005 and don't think it had had a front respray judging by the paint condition at the time. I think it's a matter of personal taste, the black outline obviously makes the pods more obvious.
