Chimaera Headlight Control Unit

My next task is to find the headlight control unit which I think is somewhere in the dash above the passenger footwell.

I've taken of (and later replaced) the dash cover but unless I'm being blind could not find the light control unit.

Any clues?

There isn't one, it's just switches on the dash and column and relays and fuses in the passenger footwell

Ah! Am I right in thinking the thin multi-way strips run all the way to the fuse box?

My 1998 chim has one, it sits next to the radio.

My 97 also has one, beside the radio. I'd say if you have ribbon cable you have one.

Mines a 95 with 3x washing machine buttons and does not have one, I think the cars with the ally turn switch have them ..

That seems to make sense. Mine's a S reg with the turn switch connected to something with a ribbon cable. Time to take a close look.

The ME0228 Dashboard Switches Unit seems to the the beast.

Now to see where I can get some of those funky 17 way connectors.
