I am interested in a replacement car soon and want to PX my Ferrari.
Currently running an '08 430 and considering a used 911 S or turbo. Looking at recent prices, the Ferrari is potentially more valuable than the Porsche. How do dealerships approach this? I really can't be bothered with selling mine beforehand since it's my only car and don't want to be without. Better to deal with Porsche or an indi?

Very few indies have the funding to do anything outright and you normally get ensnared in a sale or return situation on both sides, sale and purchase.
Far easier to deal with a main franchise but push them hard for the right deal, especially if you are doing it before the end of March (quarterly targets very important to those guys).
You will probably do better financially than an indie too if you time it right.

Give Matt or Dave a call at The Ferrari Center, chances are they have someone for your car and are very competitive regards SOR commission.
+1Late year F430 (assuming optioned to "essential" or above) at a competitive SOR price you ought to have your pick of clientele.
There's probably some way of getting out of the car and into another with no downtime, but I'd assume you'd stand to lose money on that arrangement. Is a hire car for a short period not worth considering?
