Speed camera on M1

Now I know these things are for revenue purposes - last night we saw them put up speed cameras on the M1 under the Lofthouse Bridge ( M1/M62 interchange )( North and southbound.
This morning the lanes were coned out to close the centre lane and up went the 50mph speed limit signs and down went the markers, but there's never been an accident at that particular stretch of the M1 in all the years I've been driving up and down it.
What made it laughable, was the Northbound camera is sited where you have actually passed the working area and just before most motorists would start speeding back up again to exit the 50mph zone. At least the southbound seemed sited in the middle of the working area.
So watch your speeds approaching Junction 42.
